Obi Aguocha: Bende Gets 26 Transformers Ikwuano/Umuahia Asks: Where Are The 2 Trailer Loads OF Rice? – By Mandate 27 Group
Bende Federal Constituency is witnessing a total change. The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, is set to distribute 26 electric transformers to communities across the constituency. Twenty-six transformers, to light up homes, markets, workshops, and classrooms. That is what happens when a constituency has a representative who understands what the seat is for.
Now look at Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South. The people here are not asking for transformers today. They are asking for something far simpler: the rice.
The Federal Government gave two trailer loads of rice to this constituency to cushion the effect of hardship on the people. That rice belonged to the widow, the pensioner, the unemployed graduate, and the market woman who has watched prices climb beyond reach. Yet in a video he personally shared publicly, Chief Charles Ogbonna (Evuleogu) alleged that the rice was sold instead of being distributed to the families it was meant for. The constituents have heard it, and they now put one question to their representative, Hon. Obi Aguocha: where is the rice?
Produce the two trailer loads. Tell the people who received them, in which communities, on what dates, and under whose supervision. Show the distribution list, the receiving records, and the beneficiaries. If the rice reached the people, this is the easiest question in the world to answer, and a representative with nothing to hide would have answered it long ago. Silence is not an answer. Anonymous articles and proxy writers are not an answer. A press release is not a bag of rice.
Since Chief Ogbonna made the allegation openly, a second question follows. Has Hon. Aguocha sued Chief Charles Ogbonna (Evuleogu)? If his hands are clean, the courts are open, and a suit would settle this matter once and for all. Or has he decided to stand before the constituents, explain what became of the rice, and apologise to them? A representative who will not clear his name in court or in public has already told the people something.
This is the difference between a worker and a spectator. In Bende, a representative is bringing light home. In Ikwuano/Umuahia, the people are still waiting for their representative to account for relief meant to feed hungry families. A worker delivers and documents. A spectator posts content, speaks of humility, and hopes nobody asks for receipts. At best, Hon. Aguocha is a content creator who wandered into the Green Chamber. The people did not send a presenter to Abuja. They sent a representative, and they are still waiting at the gate.
The people of this constituency are not children, and they are not blind. They have watched Bende, they have heard the allegation, and they are demanding answers. Come 16th January 2027, the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia will make a bold statement by electing Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji as their next representative at the Green Chambers, a man whose record of commitment, visibility, and legislative engagement does not need a camera crew to be believed.
The transformers are in Bende. The rice question is in Ikwuano/Umuahia. The constituents are asking, Hon. Aguocha, and he owes them an answer.
