From Eli To Rehoboam, The Bible Warns About Failed Leaders: Ndi Ikwuano, Umuahia North And Umuahia South Say Obi Aguocha Has Failed Them And They Are Crying To God For Healing In 2027 – Mandate 27 Group
The Bible is not shy about telling the story of leaders who failed the people entrusted to them. Scripture records their names, their mistakes and the price their people paid. The people of Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South say that after 3 years and 9 months of Obi Aguocha, they know exactly what those stories feel like.
Aaron yielded to the crowd and made the golden calf (Exodus 32). Leadership that bends to noise instead of standing for the people’s good always ends in embarrassment. The constituents ask whether the loud media campaigns and the endless attacks on opponents are not the same golden calf, shiny to look at and empty inside.
Eli failed to restrain what was happening under his own roof, and his house was judged (1 Samuel 3:13). The people ask what has been done about the ruin around Ugwunchara and the questions about what passes through his office. A leader who will not deal with what is close to him cannot be trusted with what is far away.
Saul was handed a mandate and was rejected because he did not do what he was told (1 Samuel 15:9-23). The constituents ask where the palliative rice went, and who received it. A representative who cannot account for what was meant for the people has not obeyed the one instruction that matters.
Rehoboam rejected wise counsel, burdened the people and split the kingdom (1 Kings 12:1-17). The constituents have asked for ten wards that have benefited from his representation, and they have been answered with silence. A leader who ignores the cry of his people is writing his own ending.
Ahab seized what was not his and ignored the voice of the prophets (1 Kings 21). The constituents say they have lost the benefit of allowances, constituency funds and federal interventions meant for them, and nobody has shown them the books.
And Ezekiel 34:1-10 condemned the shepherds of Israel who fed themselves instead of the flock. That verse has never felt closer to home. The people say they were left hungry while those who should serve them walked away well fed.
Failed leaders in Scripture share one thing. They stopped listening, and their people paid for it. The constituents say Obi Aguocha has shown the same pattern. The promised solar lights, classrooms, roads and food items cannot be located in the wards. The ten beneficiary communities cannot be named. The palliative list cannot be produced. Instead, the people have been handed propaganda and a media team that answers questions with noise.
But the Bible does not end with failure. It ends with restoration, and so the people of this constituency turn from complaint to prayer.
In 2 Chronicles 7:14, the Lord speaks: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
This is the prayer of the constituents today. They humble themselves before God. They pray for a season of true representation. They seek His face for a leader who will account, deliver and serve. And they ask Him to hear from heaven and heal their land.
In answer to that prayer, the people now call on Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji to hear their cry. They call on him to come and heal the constituency come 2027, with the same record that has name, location and beneficiary: seven 1,000-capacity mini stadiums, electrification across 32 communities, boreholes, scholarships and empowerment programmes. They want a representative whose work can be walked into and touched.
Lord, hear the cry of Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South. Break the cycle of failed promises. Raise a leader who will serve. Heal this land in 2027, and let the people finally rejoice.
