CAUGHT RED-HANDED: How Obi Aguocha’s Propaganda Machine Is Preparing To Flood Ikwuano/Umuahia With Lies, Smear Campaigns And Carefully Packaged Fiction Because He Has No Scorecard To Show – By Mandate 27 Group

In the ancient art of war, Sun Tzu wrote that every battle is won before it is ever fought. But there is a corollary that Sun Tzu did not need to write, because history has written it repeatedly in the blood of failed politicians: when a man has no ground to stand on, he does not fight with facts. He fights with fog. He fights with fabrication. He fights with the desperate, frantic energy of someone who knows the clock is ticking and the people are watching. Today, we are not here to respond to propaganda. We are here to expose it before it is even deployed. We are here to pull back the curtain on a political operation so hollow, so dishonest, and so contemptuous of the people it claims to serve, that its architects could not even keep their scheming within closed doors.

A communication has emerged from within the camp of Obi Aguocha, the incumbent member representing the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, and it is as revealing as it is damning. In this internal message, the Aguocha machinery has given its operatives clear marching orders: push other narratives, deflect from the question of stewardship, attack opponents with fabricated allegations, and do so ferociously. Read that again. His own camp, in their own words, has admitted that they are not prepared to defend his record. They are not prepared to talk about what he has done for the people of Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South. They are not prepared to present a scorecard because there is no scorecard to present. Instead, they have chosen the oldest and most dishonest weapon in the arsenal of a failing politician: the smear campaign.

Let us be precise about what this internal message reveals. Obi Aguocha sat down with what his own camp describes as his team and gave them a single mission, not to tout his achievements, not to celebrate his constituency projects, not to remind the electorate of the roads he built, the jobs he created, the bills he passed, or the lives he transformed, because none of those things exist in any meaningful or verifiable measure. His mission to his team was to attack. To fabricate. To redirect. To make the conversation about anything and everything other than his four years of legislative invisibility. This is not the behaviour of a man who has served his people well. This is the behaviour of a man running from his own record.

The message goes further and descends into territory that should alarm every right-thinking person in this federal constituency. His camp is already preparing to dismiss and discredit those who challenge him by labeling them as drug addicts who were looking for protection. Think carefully about what is happening here. Before a single allegation is even made public, before a single critic has spoken, Obi Aguocha’s machinery has pre-packaged its insults, pre-written its slurs, and pre-determined its narrative. They have already decided who the attackers are and what labels to paste on them. This is not a response strategy. This is a script. A carefully written, deliberately dishonest script designed to poison the well of public discourse so that no criticism of Obi Aguocha, however legitimate and however evidence-based, can gain traction without being drowned in manufactured noise.

We say to the good people of Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South: do not be deceived. In the coming days and weeks, you will see a coordinated wave of attacks, sponsored content, and carefully timed allegations roll out of the Aguocha camp like clockwork. They will attack characters. They will invent stories. They will dress their propaganda in the language of concern and patriotism. But you now know the truth, because you have seen the internal memo. You have seen the blueprint. You know that none of what is coming is organic outrage or genuine public interest. It is a manufactured offensive commissioned by a man who cannot look his own constituents in the eye and say, “here is what I did for you.”

And since his camp has promised ferocious attacks on stewardship, we welcome that conversation with open arms and an open ledger. Let us talk stewardship. Let us talk about the federal roads cutting through this constituency that remain in a state of devastating disrepair. Let us talk about the federal government presence, or rather the criminal absence of it, in communities that have waited years for basic attention. Let us talk about constituency development funds and where they went, and what projects were delivered, and which communities can point to something tangible and say that their federal representative made this happen. Let us talk about the bills he sponsored, the motions he moved, the committee work he can point to, and the legislative victories he can name without stuttering. Let us have that conversation, because it is the one conversation that Obi Aguocha and his ragtag team of narrative merchants are most terrified of having.

The Igbo say, “Egbe bere ugo bere, nke si ibe ya ebena nku kwa ya,” meaning let the eagle perch and let the hawk perch, and whichever denies the other the right to perch, let its own wings break. Obi Aguocha is not just denying others the right to perch. He is attempting to burn down the entire forest of public truth to hide the fact that after four years, he himself has built no nest worth showing. He is an emperor with no clothes, preparing to distract the crowd from his nakedness by throwing stones at those who dare to look.

To those in his camp reading this: your memo has been seen. Your strategy has been exposed. Your lies are being preemptively filed in the court of public opinion, and the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia are the judges. You promised ferocious attacks. We promise something far more devastating in return: the truth, delivered consistently, courageously, and without apology, until every last voter in this federal constituency knows exactly what four years of Obi Aguocha’s representation actually produced for them.

Bring your propaganda. We will meet it with facts. And in 2027, the people will decide.
