PDP Unveils Elder Abraham Amah as Deputy Governorship Candidate in Abia
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State has officially unveiled Elder Abraham Amah as its deputy governorship candidate for the forthcoming governorship election, pairing him with the party’s governorship flag bearer, Dr. Kelechi Anosike.
The unveiling took place during a press conference held at the PDP State Secretariat, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia, where party leaders, supporters, and stakeholders gathered to witness the formal presentation of the new running mate.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Anosike described Elder Amah as a loyal, dependable, and committed party stalwart who stood firmly with the PDP during challenging periods when several members left the party for other political platforms.
According to the governorship candidate, the choice of Elder Amah followed a rigorous selection process that involved broad consultations with key stakeholders and the leadership of the party at both the state and national levels.
Dr. Anosike said the Anosike/Amah ticket is built on a shared vision of restoring Abia through people-centred governance, promising to implement policies that will directly improve the welfare and living standards of residents across the state.
He maintained that his administration would focus on delivering a welfarist government that places the needs of the people above every other consideration, adding that sustainable development can only be achieved by investing in human capital.
“The greatest infrastructure is the people,” Anosike declared, emphasizing that the welfare, empowerment, and overall development of Abia residents would remain the top priority of a PDP-led government if elected.
The PDP expressed confidence that the Anosike/Amah ticket possesses the experience, commitment, and leadership qualities required to provide effective governance and reposition Abia State for greater progress.
