MTN Warns Subscribers Against Fake 25GB Anniversary Data Giveaway Platforms.

MTN Nigeria has warned its subscribers against fraudulent links and unauthorised platforms claiming to offer a 25GB anniversary data giveaway.

The telecommunications company said the 25GB anniversary offer is genuine, but stressed that eligible customers can only access the promotion through the official MyMTN NG App, MTN eShop or an official SMS notification sent directly to qualified subscribers.

MTN urged customers to remain vigilant and avoid clicking on suspicious links or visiting unverified platforms promoting the data bundle.

The company also cautioned subscribers against sharing personal information, including sensitive account details, or making payments on platforms that are not officially authorised by MTN.

The warning follows the circulation of fraudulent posts and links on social media and other online platforms, with scammers reportedly using MTN’s 25th anniversary promotion to lure unsuspecting subscribers.

MTN advised customers to rely only on its verified communication channels when seeking information about the anniversary offer and other promotions.

The telecommunications giant reiterated the importance of verifying promotional messages before taking any action, warning that fake offers could be used to obtain subscribers’ personal information or defraud them.
