Chinedum Orji Massively  Endorsed By Ohokobe Mbaocha Community At Iri Ji Festival

The people of Ohokobe Mbaocha in Umuahia North LGA, of Abia state, have unanimously endorsed and expressed their confidence and support for Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji during their Iri Ji Festival today.

The endorsement which took place amidst the colourful celebration of the community’s rich cultural heritage, was a significant demonstration of the peoples’ trust in Chinedum Orji’s vision, commitment to the development and wellbeing of the community.

In his speech, Orji congratulated the people of Ohokobe Mbaocha on their annual Iri Ji Festival and expressed deep appreciation for the endorsement and pledged to remain committed to the people, promising to work tirelessly for inclusive development, youth empowerment, economic growth, and improved opportunities for all.

He commended the people of Ohokobe Mbaocha for preserving their cultural values and traditions, describing the Iri Ji Festival as a symbol of gratitude, unity, peace, communal progress and promised to continue to support the community in every area that will bring positive impact for all.

Earlier in his speech, the village head of the community, High Chief Uzomba Ogwumuike, said the community’s endorsement of the former Abia speaker is based on the belief that he will listen to their concerns, and work with the community for meaningful development.

He prayed for wisdom, good health and strength for him to achieve his political aims and aspirations for the betterment of the people of his immediate community and Ikwuano/Umuahia at large.

High point of the event was the cutting and eating of the new yam by Chinedum Orji.

The former Speaker was accompanied to the ceremony by Barr Chima K. Ogbonnaya, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Zonal Youth Leader, South East.
